Help Set a Jazz Hands World Record Today at Noon at LOVE Park
Help set a jazz hands world record today at noon in Philly’s LOVE Park. I would think that as far as world records go, this has to be one of the easier goals to accomplish.
April is Jazz Appreciation Month, and in Philly it’s packed with over 100 jazz events. There are jazz opera performances, jazz DJ’s, jazz inspired block parties, jazz poetry events, jazz walking tours and more. There’s a neighborhood series too with 21 free programs. It brings jazz to Philadelphia neighborhoods citywide. A month long celebration of all things jazz, and a pretty fun way to kick off the festivities.
April begins this Saturday. Believe it or not, Saturday is April 1st (April Fool’s Day). To kick off Philly Celebrates Jazz, the city’s Office of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy (OACCE) invites everyone to help set a new world record. An easy one too. They’re attempting to set the record for the number of people doing jazz hands at once. All they need is you… and your hands. Bring your friends too. RSVP HERE ahead of time, or just head over.
WHERE:
LOVE Park – 16th Street and JFK Boulevard Philadelphia, PA 19102.
WHEN:
Noon today, Tuesday, March 28th.
WHO:
Everyone!
BRING:
Don’t forget your jazz hands! Your chance to help set a jazz hands world record. The first 500 attendees will be given a free pair of white jazz gloves to wear in the photo.
There will be live jazz music performed too, and the Philly Celebrates Jazz calendar will be revealed. Find more details on the world record attempt, and Philly Celebrates Jazz HERE.
There’s a rain location, but it looks like sunny skies. See you there!
