A baby crawling race... at a bar. Yep. Not only that, we had over twenty super fun families with young children sign up. Here's our Super Crawl 2023 Recap, with some photos from the event.
The 2023 BEN FM Super Crawl was a total success, mostly due to the easy going, ready for anything families of the tiny little participants. This was our first crawl. Well, the babies crawled, and we had lots of fun watching. We're already looking forward to next year. Pregnant now? Congratulations! Keep an eye out for details on next year's race!
So... who won?!
Christopher! Below are some of the photos we took, including photos of the 2023 Super Crawl CHAMPION and Vince LomBaby trophy winner, Christopher. If you remember from his player profile, Christopher is just 10 months old, from Toms River, New Jersey. His interests include bath time, jamming out to music and flirting. He trains by doing squats. It worked! He was a quick little guy, easily crawling past the competition to the finish line/end zone (Dad) in this year's BEN FM Super Crawl competition.
Thanks so much to Love City Brewing for agreeing to host twenty-some babies and their parents, grandparents, siblings and fans for this year's inaugural event. They were really kind and the brewery turned out to be a perfect spot for a Saturday afternoon baby competition. Who knew!?
Sunday Love Project
The best part of this whole event? Our participants brought a generous pile if the suggested entry "fee". A pack of diapers. We ended up with a big pile, and they were all donated to Sunday Love Project's Greater Goods store in Kensington. Greater Goods is a free grocery store, and everyone should know about it. Sunday Love Project does so much goof for our city, and the people in it each and every day.
Not only that, Sunday Love Project's founder showed up for the event! Margaux Murphy is the most self-less, amazing woman, and she took the time to cheer on our area's tiniest athletes at the Super Crawl that Saturday afternoon. Please take the time to check out more information about Margaux. She recently won the prestigious Philadelphia Award. The Philadelphia Inquirer has also written about her efforts, as has Philadelphia Weekly. She has the most incredible story, and a giant heart. Did we mention she showed up to the event with a Sunday Love Project onesie for each of the babies? We love her.
Photos and Suggestions
There's our Super Crawl 2023 recap. Thanks to all of the families for coming out, and for entering their most precious family athletes in the race. A fun time was had by all. If you were there (or weren't) and have any suggestions for next year's race, or photos from this year's race you'd be willing to add to our gallery, please e-mail me (Kristen@957benfm.com). We'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks again!

Prize Table

In addition to the coveted Vince LomBABY Trophy, we brought a bunch of prizes from the BEN FM Prize Closet. Each heat winner won a trophy, and 2nd, 3rd and 4th place took home some delicious yogurt melts. All of the siblings (baby coaches) were able to pick a prize too.
