Woman Gave Birth At Golden Corral Buffet Not Realizing She Was Pregnant
A woman in Arkansas gave birth at Golden Corral Buffet & Grill without even knowing she was pregnant. Wow. As someone currently in the third trimester of pregnancy, if there’s ANYTHING I am acutely aware of, it’s that I am pregnant. It affects how I walk, sleep, move, put on shoes in the morning, everything. A woman in Arkansas didn’t know though, even at 37 weeks pregnant and I can’t imagine. All of the planning and prenatal appointments and shopping and nesting, and she didn’t get to do any of it. She just went out to eat one day and left the restaurant a mom to a healthy baby boy.
A Meal Out With No Meal
Tayvia Woodfork and her family stopped by the Golden Corral Buffet & Grill restaurant in North Little Rock, Arkansas back in early May. She was complaining of stomach pain and immediately went into the restroom upon arriving at the restaurant. This wasn’t typical cramps though. According to Today.com, Tayvia was 37 weeks pregnant at the time, and in active labor.
Gave Birth At Golden Corral Without Knowing About Pregnancy
Medical News Today says that “a cryptic pregnancy is when a person does not realize they are pregnant until a late trimester or even until they are in labor.” It’s very rare and basically hides the symptoms of pregnancy from the mother. “Often, someone with a cryptic pregnancy does not experience typical symptoms of pregnancy”. They don’t realize they’re pregnant, until of course the baby arrives. And arrive he did. Tayvia gave birth to a “healthy 6 pound, 1 ounce, baby boy” at 37 weeks pregnant… in a Golden Corral Restaurant restroom.
After complaining of stomach pain and going to the restroom, the cramps Tayvia was experiencing seemed serious and the family called 911, only to have Tayvia deliver a healthy baby boy moments after the paramedics arrived. Before anyone really knew what happened, the baby was in the toilet.
Word spread throughout the restaurant, and by the time Tayvia was being rolled out of the restroom on a stretcher, the staff and patrons at the Golden Corral were all applauding her and baby too.
Tayvia posted on Facebook introducing her son saying, “WELPPP

Baby’s Name Honors Unique Birthplace
The baby’s name is Tamaar Kylon Corral Woodfork. CORRAL as one of the middle names. The Golden Corral was proud too and posted on their Facebook page, “GOLDEN CORRAL IS THE ONLY ONE FOR EVERYONE®, EVEN NEWBORNS! IT’S A BOY!”
The restaurant continued saying , “Please join us in welcoming Tamaar Kylon Corral Woodfork, who was so excited that his mother was dining at Golden Corral that he decided to join her! He was just born in our Golden Corral restaurant in North Little Rock, AR. His mom was so excited that she decided to include Corral in his legal name. Both mother and son are doing great, and we could not be happier! Welcome to the Golden Corral family Tamaar! You’re the new record holder as the youngest fan of Golden Corral! And don’t worry, we’ll make sure Mom is well taken care of with Golden Corral gift cards… while she’s taking care of you.”
I’ve joked that I look pregnant after hitting a buffet like Golden Corral, but never imagined something like this could happen. Tayvia didn’t even have a chance to eat. She gave birth at Golden Corral without even realizing she was pregnant, and this family had the most memorable restaurant outing imaginable. Congratulations to Tayvia on the new, albeit unexpected, addition the family. Hope this little guy gets to eat at Golden Corral free for life. He certainly deserves it.
