Pennsylvania Day Trip Makes for An Incredible Experience
Pennsylvania has plenty of incredible opportunities to take a day trip. During the summer months, it’s always the perfect time to hop in your vehicle and travel to a new, but not super far away, vacation location. Day trips can be much cheaper than longer vacations. Day trips are also perfect for those without much vacation time. So, here’s one incredible Pennsylvania day trip to try.
Actually, I’m not going to give just one. I’m going to give two suggestions, based on where you are in the state. I’ll get to Philadelphia soon. But first, if you’re on the west side of the state, one great day trip is visiting the Carnegie Museums in Pittsburgh. It’s not just one museum. The Carnegie Museums offer four very unique spots: the Carnegie Museum of Art, the Carnegie Museum of Natural History, the Andy Warhol Museum, and the Carnegie Science Center. If you only have time to make it to one of these museums, I would recommend the Carnegie Museum of Natural History. It has some of the biggest and most extensive collections of dinosaur skeletons on the planet. If you’re more into art, then perhaps you should try the Carnegie Museum of Art. It was one of the first museums of modern art ever created. Find the Carnegie Museums online here.
If you live closer to Philadelphia, then I think the perfect day trip is the Philadelphia Art Museum. This spot is one of the largest art museums in America. Find the Philadelphia Art Museum website here. Also in the area, to round our your day trip, try the Franklin Institute, which is a science center, and the Mutter Museum, which has crazy medical stuff and even preserved body parts. What’s great about all of these day trip options is that they involve indoor attractions. So, if the weather gets rainy, you can still enjoy the trip.
