2025 Philadelphia Flower Show Set to Inspire with ‘Gardens of Tomorrow’ Theme
Organizers of Philadelphia‘s oldest and most anticipated public horticultural exhibition previewed a celebration of the future through the timeless elegance of flowers.
The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society’s (PHS) theme for the 2025 edition of the venerated Philadelphia Flower Show reflects “Gardens of Tomorrow.” During a media briefing at the Franklin Institute on Tuesday, Jan. 14, event organizers detailed plans for the show, which elevates flowers as enduring symbols of hopefulness and promise for the future. This year’s Flower Show at the Pennsylvania Convention Center runs from March 1 to 9.
“The 2025 Philadelphia Flower Show is a celebration of innovation, resilience, and creativity in gardening,” said Seth Pearsoll, vice president and creative director of the Flower Show, in a report by The Philadelphia Inquirer. “This year’s theme, by design, invokes a sense of optimism, highlighting how planting something is a small gesture that promotes a brighter future.”
As it has done for 195 years, the Philadelphia Flower Show will feature new exhibitors showcasing artistic floral creations, plus returning Flower Show veterans. The event promises abundant inspiration, with offerings that include the Know to Grow lecture series, floral crowns in the Bloom Bar, Artisan Row, and Butterflies Live!
New this year, a Kids Cocoon play space will welcome younger guests to explore floral wonders. In addition, a Blossom and Breathe presentation will invite Flower Show attendees to explore topics related to beauty, well-being, and natural healing.
On Saturday, March 8, the popular Flowers After Dark evening gala will return with its theme “Out of This World!” Organizers call it “an unforgettable night of cosmic celebration that blends the nostalgia of ’80s and ’90s pop culture with futuristic space-age aesthetics.”Purchase tickets by visiting the PHS website.
