After a successful run at London’s National Portrait Gallery, “The Time is Always Now: Artists Reframe the Black Figure” is now at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The exhibition explores Black life through mediums such as painting, drawing, and sculpture. It features works from 28 contemporary Black and African artists, including Amy Sherald, Michael Armitage, and Claudette Johnson.
