LOVE Park to Hold Weddings, Market, Concert, Speed Dating for Valentine’s Day
Center City’s LOVE Park will be the epicenter for several Valentine’s Day-themed events next month. The beloved community park at the corner of 16th Street and JFK Boulevard in Philadelphia will feature an artisan market, wedding ceremonies, live music, and speed dating during Valentine’s Day weekend, Friday, Feb. 14, and Saturday, Feb. 15.
Friday, Feb. 14
On Friday, Feb. 14, wedding ceremonies will be held in front of the iconic LOVE statue in the park. Couples wishing to tie the knot at the site can register online for time slots between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. The cost is $250, plus marriage license fees.
From 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, guests can browse Valentine’s Day-themed works of more than 20 local artisans during the Make Love Marketplace at the LOVE Park Building, 1600 JFK Blvd.
Saturday, Feb. 15
On Saturday, Feb. 15, the RnB After Dark live music series will offer a free public concert featuring the music of Philadelphia-area R&B artists in front of the LOVE statue from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Inside the LOVE Park Building, a live Valentine’s Day Speed Dating spectacular will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Participants must be at least 21 years old to attend; tickets are available online for $35.
