MJ The Musical Makes its Philadelphia Debut This January
The 4-time Tony Award winning MJ The Musical is making its Philadelphia premiere in just a few short weeks. The latest Broadway Philadelphia show headed to the Academy of Music from Ensemble Arts Philly and the Shubert Organization.
With music being the most important aspect of any great musical, this one is pretty much guaranteed to have you dancing in the aisles, or at the very least toe tapping in your seat. It’s jam-packed with so many of Michael Jackson’s hits, and tells the story of the making of MJ’s 1992 Dangerous World Tour.
For those of us who never had a chance to see Michael Jackson live in concert, or just want to relive the experience, this show offers a rare look at the creative mind and collaborative spirit that catapulted Michael Jackson into legendary status. The King of Pop forever, and one of the greatest entertainers of all time.
Click below to hear my interview with Josh A Dawson who plays two characters in this show – Tito Jackson and Quincy Jones. Coincidentally, both of these legends passed away in 2024. I chat with Josh about that odd coincidence, the can’t miss scene in the show and more. Josh describes the show in this YouTube video HERE. Follow him on Instagram HERE.
