Escapee Danelo Calvacante Caught Wearing Philadelphia Eagles Hoodie
Pennsylvania State Police have announced that they’ve captured escaped prisoner Danelo Calvacante. The fugitive had been on the loose since August 31 after his escape from Chester County Prison in West Chester.
One detail emerged the morning of the capture. Calvacante was wearing a Philadelphia Eagles hoodie.
Philly Sports Fans
Everyone has heard the repeated rips on Philadelphia sports fans. The national media still talks about how fans at Franklin Field threw snowballs at Santa Claus. This happened in 1968. They also haven’t forgotten the stories from the 1990s about Judge Seamus McCaffery and the infamous jail at Veterans Stadium.
Well, they now might have a new story to point to when they need low-hanging fruit to criticize Philadelphia fans.
The escaped prisoner has made national headlines throughout the past two weeks, and the photos of him wearing an Eagles hoodie won’t just slip through the cracks.
You’ll hear fans of other NFL teams outraged about the association with a previously convicted murderer as if it had absolutely anything to do with Philly sports fans.
Remember the guy who said “Go Eagles!” on the news while getting arrested? He’s out of the spotlight now.
Danelo Calvacante
The entire population of Chester County and the greater Philadelphia area has followed the story of Calvacante with intense scrutiny over the past two weeks.
Video footage of the escape from Chester County Prison surfaced. It showed Calvacante climbing maneuvering in an unexpected way between two walls, which helped him into a more escapable area.
The danger of the situation reached its peak on Tuesday when news surfaced about the escaped prisoner stealing a rifle. However, the capture will help Chester County residents and everyone in the Philadelphia area breathe a little easier.
