Pennsylvania Mountain Ranks The Best For Snowtubing
Skiing, snowboarding, and ice skating get the majority of the winter activity attention. However, snow tubing may be the most fun of them all. USA Today‘s 10BEST recently detailed the best spots in America to go snowtubing and a mountain in Pennsylvania was named one of the best.
“Whether it’s your first time playing in the snow or you grew up on the mountain, you can enjoy a day of slipping and sliding at these ten places,” 10BEST explained. They also detail how cost-effective partaking in this thrilling activity is in comparison to many of the other winter sports. This is due to the fact that no bulky equipment is needed.
Snowtubing often falls into the category of a fallback plan. Perhaps you didn’t get to the ski mountain in time. Or you are just looking for something to do. It is essentially the mini golf of winter. However, like mini golf, once you are in the midst of the experience, you realize how incredibly fun it is. Furthermore, if you really want complete snow tubing exhilaration, try zipping down at night under a lit-up trail.
The Pennsylvania mountain that was recognized for having the best snow tubing even has a special nighttime riding experience.
Camelback Mountain In Tannersville Ranked #1
The best snowtubing mountain in the country, according to 10BEST, is right here in the Pocono mountains. Every hour Camelback offers the ultimate snowtubing experience. They have over 40 lanes to pick from, and are open seven days per week. In fact, on Friday and Saturday nights the tubing course is open until 10 pm. The same holds true for all of Christmas Vacation week.

A snow tubing ticket at Camelback is valid for two hours. It costs anywhere from $49 – $69, depending upon the day and time.
Pennsylvania Has One of the Best Winter Getaways in the U.S.
It’s never too early to start planning an exciting winter getaway, especially since the most popular winter vacation spots get booked up quickly. The good news, though, is that most people take vacations in the summer, so traveling in the winter can be a bit more relaxing. You are also able to usually find better travel rates during the winter season, except during the holidays. If you don’t have to travel during the holidays, just don’t, because it’s a mess. So, what are the best winter getaways in the U.S.?
I’ve researched some of the most popular winter vacation destinations in hopes of finding the perfect spot. The following list includes not just sunny, warm getaways, but also some areas that people who love snow can enjoy. Honestly, many people who live in a warm climate like to flock to a snowy location for a bit during the winter to get that seasonal experience, even if that seems counter intuitive. Of course, those who live in the northern parts of America love to go to a warm spot and get away from their daily lives filled with snow and ice.
I’m a Michigan girl, so I’m very familiar with the cold and ice in the winter. Not that I like it. Each year, I say I’m going to escape, even if it’s just for a few days, to a warmer location. But, I never do. Maybe this year will be different. Looking at vacation rates, it’s fairly easy to find some good deals, again, if it’s not during the holiday travel season. Read on for some of the bets winter getaways in the U.S., based on my research. What’s your favorite winter vacation spot? Reach out to me on social media here and let me know.
