We held BEN FM’s 80 For Brady advanced screening last night in King Of Prussia and it was super fun. Thanks to all the listeners who won tickets and came out to join us. There were games and prizes and LOTS of people gave their best football toss for a chance to win a $100 gift card. Some were better than others. It was harder than it looked! We had tshirts, concert tickets to give away, trivia and more, all before the movie even started.
The movie’s super cute too, with an all star female cast including Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, Rita Moreno, and Sally Field.
Be sure to listen for an all star lineup of female musicians on a track in the movie too. There’s a song called ‘Gonna Be You’ that Diane Warren wrote for the movie. She wanted to celebrate the deep friendship between the characters in the movie, who are based on a group of friends in real life. And since 80 was in the title of the movie, Warren had a genius idea to ask some iconic singers from the 80’s to sing on the track. She approached Dolly Parton, Brandi Carlisle, Debbie Harry, and Gloria Estefan, and they all said YES!
So, an all star female cast in the film and an all star lineup of musicians featured on that track too. So much talent packed into one movie. Speaking of talent… did you know that the four lead actresses have won five Oscars, and between the four of them and have been nominated for 12? Sally Field and Jane Fonda were even competing for a Best Actress Academy Award back in 1980. It was Sally Field nominated for Norma Rae, and Jane Fonda nominated for The China Syndrome. Sally Field ended up winning.
This one may not win them any awards, but they win our hearts for sure. Maybe even Tom Brady’s! You’ll have to watch the film to find out. 80 For Brady hits theaters this Friday, February 3rd.
