The Tibby Ball – February 11th
Jason (Tibby) was a much loved friend, brother and son. Tibby died on May 27th 2022. Yet another casualty of the global opioid crisis. The Tibby Ball aims to raise money to help mitigate deaths and harm caused by opioid overdose in his memory. The opioid crisis effects families from every walk of life and it’s only getting worse. According to the CDC, the number of drug overdose deaths increased by nearly 30% from 2019 to 2020 and has quintupled since 1999. Nearly 75% of the 91,799 drug overdose deaths in 2020 involved an opioid.
Those attending the event on February 11th will enjoy Jason’s favorite local band Kristen and the Noise who will be performing in the upstairs ballroom. And don’t forget to bring your wallet. There will be raffle and 50/50 tickets, event memorabilia, and other items available to purchase. Downstairs will feature a DJ, and a cornhole tournament for an additional entrance fee. And if that wasn’t enough, you can also be a part of the Dance-A-Thon to help raise additional funds for the cause.
General admission tickets are $30. Purchase tickets to the event HERE.
