American actress Pamela Anderson arrives at the CCAM Awards, December 1994 in Sydney, Australia. 1998 Tim Allen Stars In "Home Improvement."

Pamela Anderson shared a disturbing incident that took place on the set of Home Improvement in 1991. She wrote about it in her upcoming memoir, Love, Pamela.

According to an excerpt obtained by Variety ahead of the book’s January 31 release, the actress, who was 23 years old at the time of the incident recalled the horrible experience. “On the first day of filming, I walked out of my dressing room, and Tim was in the hallway in his robe. He opened his robe and flashed me quickly — completely naked underneath. He said it was only fair, because he had seen me naked. Now we’re even. I laughed uncomfortably.”

Allen, who was 37 at the time, was presumably referring to Anderson’s modeling for Playboy, which helped turn the budding actress into a sex symbol. The Last Man Standing star addressed the claims of his flashing saying, “No, it never happened. I would never do such a thing.”

The explosive claim is one of many in the book, which traces Anderson’s rise from a small-town girl from Vancouver Island to one of the most recognizable women in the world. An accompanying Netflix documentary, Pamela, a love story, is also set to drop on January 31.

Experts say it’s important that high-profile women such as Anderson are finally taking back their narratives because doing so can be a crucial step in healing from trauma. “It’s your story to tell, and it doesn’t belong to anyone else. So, when that’s taken from you, it’s painful. It’s traumatic,” Jessica MacNair, a licensed professional counselor, told USA Today. “So, for (Pamela) to reclaim that and do it on (her) own terms is inspiring and even healing.”

Home Improvement marked one of Anderson’s earliest credits, where she played Lisa the Tool Time Girl on the family sitcom. The number one television series starred Tim Allen, Richard Karn and Patricia Richardson. Anderson appeared as Lisa for 23 episodes from 1991-1997. Anderson then left to focus on Baywatch, which became a global phenomenon exported to 150 countries.
