Wawa Offers “Swoop Shake” in Philadelphia Stores to Benefit Eagles Autism Challenge
Wawa announced a limited-time specialty beverage named the “Swoop Shake,” available at Philadelphia stores from Monday, August 16 through Sunday, August 22 to raise funds and
awareness for the Philadelphia Eagles’ Foundation annual Eagles Autism Challenge event at Lincoln Financial Field on Saturday, August 21.
Wawa has been a longstanding presenting partner of the Wawa Junior (10-mile), Wawa Shorti® (30-mile) and Wawa Classic (50-mile) bike rides and has increased its support this year by adding a new, limited-time decadent milkshake on its menu made with vanilla soft serve, mint flavor, whipped cream and Eagles green sprinkles with Wawa making a $5,000 contribution to the Eagles Autism Challenge as the cherry on top.
“Wawa is proud to expand on its annual support of the Eagles Autism Challenge by adding a new limited-edition specialty beverage that brings more awareness and funds to the important work the Eagles Autism Foundation is doing to support the autism community,” said Alex Costabile, VP, Strategy, Wawa. “While the beverage is sure to satisfy ones’ sweet tooth, we hope it provides our customers with even more satisfaction knowing that together, we are helping advance research and programming for individuals with autism.”
The Eagles Autism Challenge is a one-day cycling event and 5K on Saturday, August 21 at Lincoln Financial Field dedicated to raising awareness and funds for autism research and care programs.
