Summer is the perfect time to enjoy refreshing cocktails that help beat the heat. Whether you’re hosting a party or just looking for a cool drink to enjoy on a hot day, there are plenty of summer cocktail recipes to choose from.

Some things to keep in mind when creating a summer cocktail is to make sure to keep your cocktails light, the summer isn’t the time to make a recipe using a cream base, but it’s the perfect time for spritzers, margaritas, and mai tais.

  • Hollywood Colada

    SelvaRey
    Ingredients:
    1 oz SelvaRey Coconut Rum
    1 oz Pineapple Juice
    2 oz Coconut Water

    Glass: Double Old Fashioned
    Garnish: Lime Wedge

    Method: Blend or combine over ice and stir. Garnish with a lime wedge and serve.

  • Manila Mai Tai

    Ingredients:
    1.5oz Don Papa Rum (45ml)
    1.5oz Mango Puree (45ml)
    Juice of 1/2 of Lime
    1 Dash Orgeat Syrup

    Glass: Highball
    Garnish: Rosemary Sprig

    Method: In a shaker squeeze the juice of half a lime. Add a dash of orgeat syrup and pour in the Don Papa Rum and mango purée. Shake the mixture vigorously and pour into a highball glass filled with ice and garnish.

     

  • Coastal Tides

    Ingredients:
    2oz Gray Whale Gin
    1.5oz coconut water
    1oz lavender syrup
    0.75oz fresh lemon juice

    Garnish: lemon wheel

    Method: Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice. Shake for 3-4 seconds and strain over fresh ice. Top with lemon wheel.

  • Beachside

    Beachside by Gray Whale Gin
    Ingredients:
    1.5oz Gray Whale Gin
    1.5oz pineapple
    1oz Cream of Coconut squeeze
    0.5oz fresh lemon juice
    Handful of mint

    Garnish: mint sprig

    Method: Shake all ingredients together with ice. Strain into a highball glass filled with fresh ice and garnish with mint.

  • Tommy’s Margarita

    Tommy's Margarita and Cantera Negra Tequila
    Ingredients:
    2oz Cantera Negra Silver
    1oz fresh lime juice
    .5oz agave nectar

    Garnish: Blood orange slice

    Method: Add all ingredients to cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously. Strain over ice in a half salt rimmed rocks glass and garnish with blood orange slice.

  • Cantera Paloma

    Ingredients:
    2oz Cantera Negra Silver
    .5oz fresh lime juice
    5oz Mexican Squirt

    Garnish: Tajin and sugar for rim

    Method: Build over ice in a Collins glass rimmed with tajin/sugar mix (3 parts tajin to 1 part sugar). Stir and garnish with a grapefruit slice.

  • Fruity and Long

    50ml Silent Pool Gin
    25ml Lime juice
    15ml Rhubarb syrup
    15ml Merlet Strawberry Liqueur
    75ml Sparkling apple juice

    Garnish: A rhubarb ribbon.

    Method: Build all ingredients, in a highball over cubed ice and stir to combine.

  • Chelsea Flower Show

    50ml Silent Pool Gin
    25ml Gewurztraminer wine
    25ml Merlet Strawberry liqueur

    Garnish: A grapefruit twist

    Method: Stir all ingredients together with ice and double strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

  • Flamingo

    50ml Silent Pool Gin
    25ml Lime juice
    15ml Merlet Apricot liqueur
    15ml Merlet Raspberry liqueur

    Garnish: Raspberry on a cocktail stick.

    Ingredients: Shake all ingredients together with cubed ice and double strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
