It’s Bulldog time in Philly. Here are 9 country music stars who are now clearly Philadelphia Eagles fans. The NFL Draft was in May and the Eagles drafted not one, not two, but three players from the University of Georgia football team. The University of Georgia won the college national championship the past two years so needless to say they have amazing players. Howie Roseman and the Philadelphia Eagles also drafted two Georgia players last year in Jordan Davis and Nakobe Dean.
The NFL Draft was held in Kansas City from last Thursday to Sunday. Normally in the NFL Draft, the best teams from the previous season choose last, which obviously makes sense, because the NFL wants the worst teams from the previous seasons to have a better chance at choosing the best players coming out of college.
Howie Roseman is a magician though and the Eagles had not one, but two Round 1 picks this year. The Eagles chose at #9 and #30 in the first round of this year’s draft. It can get kind of confusing on how NFL General Mangers trade draft pics, so if you’re curious on how the Eagles got the New Orleans Saints Round 1 draft pick, click here for the explanation.
One thing I noticed about country music stars is that they are not really NFL fans, because so many of them are from the south, they are more college football fans and so many of them are Georgia Bulldog fans. So the fact that the Eagles have 5 players from the NFL draft that are all former Georgia Players, means some of our favorite country music stars are now definitely (probably) huge Philadelphia Eagles fans. Luke Bryan is a massive Georgia fan and he even shoutout out the Eagles during an interview he did with Andie Summers last fall. So when Luke is here for the XTU Anniversary Show, we need to get him an Eagles jersey so he can sport it this upcoming season!
Let’s take a look at the new Eagles players from Georgia and our favorite country music stars who are now Eagles fans because of it!
