I mean, it’s a half-indoor, half-outdoor concert venue that serves every purpose. They host some of summer’s hottest shows every year. They’re a seasonal venue, meaning you don’t have to shiver on the lawn in the winter. But, the inside is climate-controlled and can be closed off for possible winter shows. It makes you appreciate them even more when you’re forced to miss the lawn like that!
There’s nothing like a concert in Freedom Mortgage Pavilion. It opened in 1995 and boasts a 25,000-seat capacity. Concert veterans probably know this venue by a few other names, but the place is the same. It’s still a rockin’ music venue right on the Waterfront with a great seating arrangement.
With views of the Philadelphia skyline, and the beautiful Ben Franklin Bridge, how can you not love a show at this place? It’s an icon of the area and should be appreciated for how great it truly is. Don’t sleep on this venue. It’s one of the best concert venues in the area!
