The stage setup for Aerosmith's 'Peace Out!' tour was massive! It included a huge moving version of their famous winged logo.

Aerosmith kicked-off their ‘Peace Out!’ Farewell tour in Philly with The Black Crowes on Saturday night in front of a full house at the Wells Fargo Center, part of an ‘MMR Concert Event. The energy and excitement along with the anticipation of the fans and bands alike was through the roof.

The Black Crowes started the night by ripping through a hits-packed set. It included “Twice as Hard,” “Hard to Handle,” “She Talks to Angels,” “Jealous Again,” and “Remedy.” The fellas are fresh off their ‘Shake Your Money Maker 30th Anniversary Tour.’ They sounded better than ever.

The Bad Boys from Boston hit the stage to a deafening roar from the sold-out Philly crowd as they ripped through their massive hit “Back in the Saddle” off of their 1976 album Rocks. From there, Steven, Joe & the boys touched on many of their hit albums over the years, including PumpPermanent Vacation, Get a Grip, Toys in the Attic, and Get Your Wings. We even got a cool cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Stop Messin’ Around,” sung by Aerosmith lead-guitarist Joe Perry.

Being that it was the very first night of the tour, there were a couple of “flubs” and kinks that the band needed to work out. Including, Steven Tyler forgetting some lyrics or losing his place in the song at times. John Douglas, who has been Aerosmith’s longtime drum tech, has filled in for ‘Bad Boy’ drummer Joey Kramer since 2020. He continues to do so on their ‘Peace Out!’ tour, even missing a cue at the beginning of “Rag Doll”, only to be playfully called out by Steven Tyler. “You missed your cue John D!”

There were many highlights over the course of the night. The last four songs from Aerosmith were “Sweet Emotion,” “Toys in the Attic,” “Dream On” & “Walk This Way,” all mega hits for the band that has withstood the test of time!

Here’s hoping we get a few more “legs” of this “Farewell” tour from Aerosmith. It might even include a few more stops in the Philadelphia/Tri-State area!
