ESTATE Boutique in the Heart of Doylestown Utilizes a Display Window to Showcase Neighbors Fighting Breast Cancer throughout October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month 10% of Profits From October Sales to be Donated to Central Bucks YMCA’s THRIVE Wellness Program
Instead of the high-fashion runway apparel by international designers that normally adorn the mannequins in the display windows at ESTATE boutique in Doylestown, during the month of October, the oversized glass storefront at the chic shop will showcase a poignant photographic exhibit featuring local breast cancer patients.
Owner Brittany McGinley has decided to give back to the community that supports her, by celebrating some of the brave local women who are fighting the battle of their lives against this devastating disease. She’s doing this as part of a four-fold awareness and fundraising campaign that puts the spotlight on local breast cancer “warriors” who as she says “are both fierce and fashionable.”
ESTATE’s “Faces of Warriors” campaign started with a Facebook post where local residents nominated breast cancer survivors and fighters to be “models” for a photo exhibit and a video that would tell their stories. In addition, McGinley will donate 10% of her profits from October sales to the Central Bucks YMCA’s THRIVE Wellness Program, a customized group personal training program designed for individuals battling cancer. The fourth component — after two of the fighters are styled with beautiful clothing during a personal consultation with Brittany — the “models” will get to keep the gorgeous designer outfits and accessories from ESTATE.
