PCLF8647_JFusco_for_Tianyu The Philadelphia Chinese Lantern Festival in Franklin Square opens today and stays through June 12th. The Festival appears here in the states for the first time and is a don’t-miss celebration of light and culture that features artisans from China. For 7-weeks Franklin Square will glow with more than 25-larger-than-life illuminated displays of giant flowers, a 3-story pagoda, a huge Chinese dragon and much more. Amy Needle from Historic Philadelphia explains how it came to be…shares highlights of the event, along with other fun details coming this year at Franklin Square in celebration of their 10th Anniversary!
