Warmer weather means more outside activities! And we know of 4 fabulous Spring festivals happening in Philadelphia.

We know we have foodies among our ranks. And we all know its important to shop local. These Spring festivals provide us with the perfect opportunity to enjoy both. Shopping is so much more fun when it’s done outside.

Festivals are annual events that provide local vendors the opportunity to show us what they’ve got. They also feature great food and live music to keep the good vibes going. You can browse, take a break and listen to music while smacking, and continue to browse. They’re the type of things you find yourself spending hours at when you don’t even mean to. They are just too fun.

These festivals are fun for all ages, too. These events are family-friendly. The star of the show at these festivals really is the food they offer. Local vendors really put all they’ve got into showcasing amazing springtime eats for all to enjoy. And don’t even get us started on the drinks. A lot of the eats are one-time-only specials, so you really shouldn’t miss out!

Take a look at these 4 fabulous Spring festivals happening in Philadelphia:

Check out Flavors On The Avenue on April 30, 2023. The event runs from 11 am to 5 pm. Flavors On The Ave is a foodie’s dream. You HAVE to arrive hungry and try to stay hungry in order to try all they have to offer. Popular city bars and restaurants have spots at this festival, running from Broad Street to Dickinson Street. Here you can get one-day-only culinary experiences. They have craft vendors, live entertainment, and family-oriented activities to see, too.

  • Rittenhouse Row Spring Festival

The Rittenhouse Row Spring Festival is a super upscale outdoor festival. On May 6, 2023 from noon to 5 pm, the Rittenhouse Row Spring Festival brings all kinds of unique fun. This year is the first time the festival is back since 2019, so if you’ve been before, expect changes! There will be a local artist showcase as well as a live fashion show on Walnut Street and all around Rittenhouse Square. They have a number of outdoor cafes for you to grab a snack at while you’re browsing as well.

  • South Street Fest

South Street Fest 2023 takes place on May 6 from 11 am to 7 pm. SO…if you want to hit two festivals in one day (Rittenhouse and this one), we recommend maybe hitting the other first, since this one is open later. Head over to the South Street Headhouse District for more unique crafts and live entertainment. This festival has a kid-friendly zone, as well as FREE comic books from Atomic City Comics. This funky event is sure to please, since it’s quirky and fun.

  • The South 9th Street Italian Market Festival

The South 9th Street Italian Market Festival is back for its annual block party. If you want to go to an event that is truly “Philly,” this is the one. On May 20th and 21st, 2023 from 11 am to 6 pm, the entire family is welcome to join in on the fun. There is a new edition this year, “Cornhole at the Festival.” If that’s a game you’re good at, come out and show your skills. The event also has a “Grease Pole Contest,” so you can practice for the next time a Philly team makes a championship. And again, of course, there will be delicious food and tons of vendors.
