Ed Norton Spotted at a Popular Cape May Coffee Shop
Actor Ed Norton was keeping caffeinated while in Cape May, New Jersey, last week. The Fight Club and Incredible Hulk star was in the area to film a Bob Dylan biopic, and he stepped away from the set to frequent a popular local coffee shop.
Coffee Tyme, located in the busting Washington Street Mall, posted on Instagram about Norton’s visit last week. The caption noted that he’s a “nice guy” and shared his love of surfing with the shop employees.
He returned, and this time, the shop noted that he opted for fall flavors. The caption on this post says, “Ed Norton came by again for another drink! He got a pumpkin chai with three shots of espresso.”
Three shots of espresso is quite the caffeine buzz, but before (or after) a long day on set, sometimes you need that extra kick in the pants.
Why is Ed Norton in Cape May?
NJ.com reports that Ed Norton is starring in a biopic centered around Bob Dylan called A Complete Unknown. Norton is portraying Pete Seeger, a folk singer and activist known for songs like “If I Had a Hammer” and “Where Have All The Flowers Gone?”. The scenes filmed in Cape May last week will serve as the backdrop in the film for the 1965 Newport Folk Festival, where Dylan made waves by performing with an electric guitar for the first time in front of an audience.
The movie is directed by James Mangold and the script is based on the book Dylan Goes Electric! by Elijah Wald. Also starring in the drama are Timothee Chalamet as Bob Dylan, Monica Barbaro as Joan Baez, Elle Fanning as Sylvie Russo and Boyd Holbrook as Johnny Cash.
A Complete Unknown doesn’t have an exact release date yet, but it’s expected to come out in the first half of 2025. Ed Norton most recently starred in Asteroid City and the Knives Out sequel Glass Onion.
