FREE Adoptions at Full Shelters This Weekend
Some shelters are offering free adoptions or reduced cost adoptions this weekend.
The shelters are full.
Actually, they were at capacity. Then they took in a few hundred more animals.
The situation is dire, but there are ways that we can help.
The best way to help is to adopt or foster an animal. There are so many fantastic cats and dogs just waiting to come home with you. There are so many shelters offering either no cost, or reduced cost adoptions this weekend. Here are some of their pleas for help (some more creative than others!):
The PSPCA:
$10 Adoption Fees Through Sunday (7/30):
The PSPCA ‘s officers took in 202 animals in ONE hoarding case. An immediate need, and a lot of it. Please help if you can. Here are some of the things the organization needs most.
- ADOPTERS! Check their various locations for available dogs at pspca.org and go in to adopt!
- FOSTERS! Many of the dogs rescued are puppies and they will need fosters until they are ready to be adopted. Sign up at pspca.org/foster
- DONATIONS! Already at capacity, they are now caring for so 200+ additional animals. They can only do their lifesaving work with our support! Find information on donations HERE.
(PLEASE adopt Mee Maw!)
The Brandywine Valley SPCA:
Hi Barbie!
Such a fun way to showcase their available pups! Pick out a Ken or Barbie to bring home to your dream house!
NO adoption fees on certain cats and dogs.
Philly PAWS:
Their PAW It Forward campaign allows your donation to do the most good. Make an impact today, and you could receive a care package for your generosity with lots of fun stuff included for you AND your pets! Find more info HERE.
There are free adoptions at shelters all over our area. Now is the time to help. If you’re not able (or ready) to add a new family member, or financially ready to make a donation, your time can be the biggest gift you could give. Volunteers are needed at every shelter. You could walk dogs, clean kennels, or even just transport animals to and from local animal hospitals to the shelter. Volunteer at your local shelter today.
There are countless ways we can help these wonderful animals. They will pay us back in never-ending love. Well worth it. Thanks for considering!
