IWG Providing Workspace for Commuters Affected by I-95 Closure
In response to the collapse and resulting closure of I-95 in Philadelphia, IWG, plc — the leading provider of flexible workspace in the Philadelphia area and around the world — has announced an initiative to provide free access to its business lounge facilities for workers three days a week in and around Philadelphia, including the New Jersey suburbs. From Trenton and Mount Laurel to Bala Cynwyd, Radnor, and Newtown Square, IWG is offering support to hybrid workers whose Philly-bound commutes are impacted during this time period; this offer will be in effect until the highway fully reopens.
All workers need to do is download the IWG or Regus apps and show their business card when they arrive at their center of choice. On the app, users can take advantage of a range of professional products and services from booking meeting rooms to printing collateral at centers and requesting IT support. All Philadelphia and South Jersey offices have fully furnished spaces, reliable high-speed Wi-Fi connection, 24/7 customer service and dedicated meeting room spaces.
“We are excited to act quickly to support employees, businesses and entrepreneurs in the Philadelphia area with a place to work on their doorstep,” said IWG North America President Jeff Doughman. “Flexible workspaces are on the rise in Philadelphia and around the country because workers want to work from a local office close to home part of the time, and we look forward to welcoming Philadelphia employees to our centers to collaborate, connect and share ideas.”
Flexible workspaces are increasingly in demand as companies and individuals adopt more flexible ways of working, with IWG research showing that 60% of workers would like their employer to offer an office space within 15 minutes of their home.
IWG provides on-demand services to its members, including access to 3,500 locations around the world, meeting rooms whenever they are needed, IT support, networking, and business and social events and much more.
Individuals can drop in and get fast internet access at any of the more than 40 locations across IWG’s brands in the greater Philadelphia area for three days a week, free of charge. All locations in the area include centers in a variety of suburban and urban environments — enabling workers to choose a center that suits their preferences and is close to home, without the need for long commutes.
