Axl Rose Throws Microphone into Concert Crowd, Hits Woman in the Face
Axl Rose accidentally gave a fan a nasty black eye after throwing his microphone into the crowd at a recent Guns N’ Roses show.
Per Australian outlet ABC, the incident happened during the Adelaide leg of GN’R’s Australian tour. Fan Rebecca Howe said Rose threw the microphone into the crowd after the band played “Paradise City.” Howe told 10 News First Adelaide in the video below, “It hit me on the bridge of the nose, and it felt like I had been hit by a truck.”
She continued, “I instantly put my head down with my hands on my face, and my brain was like, ‘Oh, my God! My face has been caved in! My nose has been broken!'”
As for whether she had time to duck, Howe said, “I saw him throw it, but I didn’t see it coming. I was blindsided by all the lights and stuff, and then bang…If it hit me in the eye, I could’ve lost an eye…That’s why I still can’t believe it. Out of 20,000 people, it was me.”
Below is fan-shot video from the concert showing Rose lobbing the microphone into the crowd. While it wasn’t a fierce overhand throw, microphones aren’t exactly light. Clearly, this was an accident, but hopefully, Rose will think twice before throwing his microphone into the crowd again.
