National Dog Show 2022 Tickets On Sale Now
The National Dog Show 2022. The annual show is back, better than ever, and tickets are now on sale. Up to 2,000 dogs, 190 breeds plus agility demos & lots more.
Philadelphia hosts this absolute canine extravaganza each year at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks. Join in the fun this year on November 19th and 20th. It’s $16 for an adult ticket, $7 for children 4-11, and free admission for kids three-and-under. Parking is also free. Buy tickets HERE.
The annual Kennel Club of Philadelphia (KCP) extravaganza went spectator-less in 2020 and had vaccinated-only admission last year. This year, they plan a return to normalcy. And by normalcy – in pre-pandemic years, the weekend has drawn up to 15,000 families and dog lovers to the Expo Center in Oaks.
We’re super lucky to have this show so close to home. It originated in 1879 and has run continuously since 1933. The National Dog Show is also one of only two “benched” shows remaining in the US. Benched basically means the show allows its visitors to find and visit with all the breeds in designated locations throughout each day. How cool is that!? Visitors not only have access to these incredible canines, but you can approach their hoomans and ask them questions too.
Oh, and you might just get yourself on television. The Saturday show is taped by NBC for air on Thanksgiving Day from noon-2 pm. The National Dog Show total audience exceeds 20 million every year. In fact, in 2016 the National Dog Show achieved a best-ever Nielsen rating of 5.9. That’s higher than all but the most prominent sports and entertainment events on TV.
