The new Beatles documentary The Beatles: Get Back will be premiering on Disney+ next week. One would think Disney wouldn't have any issues with such an exclusive documentary, but there was one unique problem early on in the making of the film.
Director Peter Jackson said in a new interview with Radio Times (as transcribed by U.K.'s Express) that one of the rules Disney had for the documentary was for no swearing to be included. However, the Academy Award-winning director broke those rules saying, "The Beatles are scouse boys and they freely swear but not in an aggressive or sexual way. We got Disney to agree to have swearing, which I think is the first time for a Disney channel."
Jackson added, "That makes them feel modern, too. Obviously, people did swear in the 60s but not when they were being filmed."
The Beatles: Get Back will premiere on Disney+ on November 25, 26 and 27 in two-hour increments. The whole docuseries was compiled from nearly 60 hours of unseen footage that was originally filmed for Michael Lindsay-Hogg's 1969 chronicling the making of the Beatles' Let It Be album. Additionally, The Beatles: Get Back will feature for the first time ever the band's iconic rooftop concert in its entirety.
