"Jabba ruled with fear. I intend to rule with respect."

So says longtime fan-favorite character from the Star Wars universe, Boba Fett, in the first trailer for the character's upcoming series, The Book Of Boba Fett. The character infamously debuted in the notoriously awful Star Wars Holiday Special in 1978, and then appeared in The Empire Strikes Back in 1980.

More recently, he appeared in the Disney+ series The Mandalorian, played by Temuera Morrison (who appeared in 2002's Star Wars Episode II: Attack Of The Clones and 2005's Star Wars Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith). The series also features another character from The Mandalorian: Ming-Na Wen's Fennec Shand.

And, as we see in the trailer, there are a lot of other alien species in the series, including Trandoshans, Twi'leks, Aqualish, and Tusken Raiders.

The Book of Boba Fett premieres on Disney+ Wednesday, Dec. 29. Watch the trailer below.

Brian has been working in pop culture and media for about three decades: he’s worked at MTV, VH1, SiriusXM, CBS and Loudwire. Besides working as a writer and an editor-in-chief, he’s also appeared on air as a pundit, guested on radio shows and hosted podcasts. Over the years, he’s interviewed the surviving members of Led Zeppelin, the members of U2, Beyonce, Pink, Usher, Stevie Nicks, Lorde… and is grateful to have had the chance to interview Joe Strummer of the Clash and Tom Petty.
