Wash Your Hands Philly
Wash your hands Philly. By now we’ve got the message.
But what if you’re homeless in Philly, and all of the places normally available to you to wash are now closed?
Broad Street Ministry, Streets Dept, and HAHA MAG considered this, and then they did something to help.
They rented 9 portable hand washing machines and placed them throughout Philly, in places that are known and accessible to the homeless population.
Each station is equipped with soap, water and paper towels.
Even better? They teamed with Mural Arts Philadelphia for this project.
Not only are there 9 portable washing machines now placed throughout the city, but some of the stations are also paired with murals designed to help inform the population about COVID-19.
Check them out below, and wash your hands Philly!
If you can help to support Broad Street Ministry by making a donation or purchasing an item off of their Amazon Wish List, please do.
Yet another example of people coming together to do great things in the midst of this pandemic.
