Have an 8th grade class? Take a field trip to WAWA’s Innovation Lab!
This Thursday, September 5th from 4-5:30pm, students from Garnet Valley Middle School will be at the WAWA on Naamans Creek Rd. in Chaddsford to debut their new WAWA Chicken and Waffles special. The class helped to develop the idea while participating in the Wawa Innovation Center’s Future Food Scientist Program.
The program gives students “a behind-the-scene look at careers in food science and how Wawa develops food for its stores. Not only will students participate in fun and interactive stations, but they’ll also have a chance to pitch their own recipe to be featured for a limited time at a Wawa store!”
If you know an 8th grade class that would be interested in taking a super cool WAWA field trip this October, nominate them! The deadline is September 15th, and the trip would be Wednesday, October 30th from 9am to 1pm in Media.
The application must be completed by school faculty, and the school is responsible for coordinating bus transportation (with a stipend provided by WAWA).
Must be 8th grade level, with a maximum of 30 students and accompanied by 2 chaperones. After school programs are eligible!
School faculty, apply for your school HERE.
