VIDEO: Steven Tyler, Nuno Bettencourt Talk Covering “Brown Sugar”
Steven Tyler and Nuno Bettencourt’s cover of the Rolling Stones’ “Brown Sugar” is featured on the recently released compilation Muscle Shoals: Small Town, Big Sound, and in a new video, they talk about how the collaboration and cover came to be.
“Me and Steven have been talking about doing something for almost 25 years. We’ve never recorded together,” said Bettencourt. “And I finally called him up and said, ‘I’ve never asked you for anything, but I think you’re gonna want to do this one. He didn’t even flinch.”
Muscle Shoals: Small Town, Big Sound is available in multiple formats here.
