An Arkansas man who was arrested after allegedly breaking into a residence reportedly told the County sheriff’s deputies that he did it because, “they have a more comfortable couch.”
According to the affidavit, the female homeowner said her mother called and said her pig was running loose. The woman and her husband returned to their residence and found the alarm system was going off.
While her husband went to help her mother get the pig, the woman went inside to check the alarm. When she opened the front door, she saw a man sitting on her couch.
She ran outside and yelled to her husband and mother that someone was inside the residence. The man attempted to leave the residence through a side door, but he saw her mother standing near the door with a stick.
So, instead, he fled through a bedroom window and into the woods.
The sheriff found the man sitting in his front yard and noted he matched the description he had been given earlier. The sheriff told the man “you can’t be going into people’s homes without permission” and the man allegedly replied, “They have a more comfortable couch.”
He was arrested and faces up to six years in prison.
If you’re like me, you’re left wondering … did they ever find the pig?
