Glenn Frey passed away two years ago today (January 18.)  The prolific songwriter left us all too soon, but we'll always fondly look back on Frey's career thanks to these incredible, time-tested tracks.

Frey and Don Henley were both inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2000, and after listening to these six tracks, it’s understandable why.

“Take It Easy”

Peaked on the Billboard Hot 100 at #12

“Heartache Tonight”

Topped the Billboard Hot 100 on November 10, 1979.

“Hotel California”

Topped the Billboard Hot 100 on May 7, 1977.

“Desperado”

This track may not have been a hit for the Eagles, but many artists have covered it, with the most famous version being by Linda Ronstadt.

“One Of These Nights”

Another #1 Billboard Hot 100 track that topped the chart on August 2, 1975.

“Life in the Fast Lane”

This Eagles classic peaked at #11 on the Billboard Hot 100 on June 25, 1977.
