Robert Plant – Carry Fire
We know people (aka: Jimmy Page) want Plant to cave and reunite with Led Zeppelin, but it’s hard to see him going back to the past when he’s making such great new music in the present.
Gregg Allman – Southern Blood
A beautiful farewell from one of southern rock’s biggest icons.
U2 – Songs of Experience
After all the drama around the release of Songs of Innocence, it was nice to see U2 go back to a traditional release and also get a little political in the process.
Alice Cooper – Paranormal
His first new album in six years, Cooper invited plenty of people to the Paranormal party from original members of the Alice Cooper band to Billy Gibbons.
Roger Waters – Is This The Life We Really Want?
Is This The Life We Really Want? was Waters first solo record since 1992’s Amused to Death. Let’s hope the next LP doesn’t take that long to release, too.
Lindsey Buckingham Christine McVie – Buckingham/McVie
This is what happens when Stevie Nicks is too busy with solo work to do stuff with Fleetwood Mac, and honestly, we don’t mind.
Cheap Trick – We’re All Alright
Just a little over a year after their last studio LP Bang, Zoom, Crazy…Hello, Cheap Trick surprised fans with this gem, and it’s more than a little alright.
