5 Of The Most Awkward Celebrity Interviews
Jim Carrey delivered an out-there interview to E! Network’s Catt Sadler while attending a New York Fashion Week party recently.
The comedian rambled about Hollywood legends, fashion, human existence, and more, all while pacing around the perplexed reporter. It was super cringeworthy, check it out here.
But while the conversation was certainly strange, it’s not the weirdest or most uncomfortable celebrity interview that’s ever happened. Here are a few other incredibly awkward celebrity interviews:
Paris Hilton walks out on an interview
Paris Hilton was chatting with ABC’s Dan Harris when the discussion shifted to the notion of her fame having waned as other stars like Kim Kardashian start to overshadow her. After her publicist interrupted, Hilton walked out, before later agreeing to continue the conversation.
Selena Gomez shuts down an interviewer’s Justin Bieber question
During the on-again off-again cycle that was Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez’s relationship, Gomez shut down an interviewer who wanted to talk about Bieber and “what exactly we don’t get” about him. Fair question, but Gomez clearly didn’t want to answer.
When Jerry Seinfeld got weird on Larry King
Things got really uncomfortable when Larry King had Jerry Seinfeld on, and asked if Seinfeld was canceled or if Jerry Seinfeld voluntarily ended the show. The comedian didn’t exactly take the question well, and though he joked about getting King a copy of his resume, you could feel the tension as they went to commercial break.
Cara Delevingne doesn’t let ill-informed interviewers get away with cheeky comments
This interview started off poorly when the host called Delevingne by the wrong name. Twice. They continued with a stream of condescending questions, eventually encouraging her to take a nap to cure her irritation. Delevingne barely cracked a smile.
Amy Schumer shuts down a host who implies her character’s outfits were “skanky”
Probably not a good idea to ask a question like “Do you have the word ‘skanky’ in America?” as you interview a celebrity guest, but an Australian radio host decided to go for it. Needless to say, it wasn’t well-received by Amy Schumer. The rest of the interview sort of torpedoed from there. Eek.
It’s hard to take your eyes off of these awkward interviews, but MAN they are so cringe-worthy. We feel bad for everyone involved.
