The VARIETY File

When we think beer, we certainly don’t think healthy, but beer lovers could be in for a real treat with a new, probiotic beer that boosts the immunity and that’s good for the gut.

According to VitalUpdates.com, researchers at the National University of Singapore created a new, sour beer that contains the live probiotic strain, Lactobacillus paracasei, taken from human intestines. The probiotic can neutralize toxins and viruses, help mantain a strong immune system in check and ward off deadly diseases.

Sounds rather disgusting! But if it means more beer, we’re in!

Say the word probiotic. What comes to mind? Tablets, yogurt, lemon water? Let’s just say- we’d never consider beer. But with this new discovery, you don’t have to feel guilty anymore for enjoying a beer or two, or three!
