When the weather breaks, children in the Philadelphia area have Mr. Softee. Adults, on the other hand, have a different traveling food and drink truck to get equally as excited for. Philadelphia’s famous beer garden that gives back, Parks on Tap, is returning with its first full traveling season since COVID-19!
Starting Wednesday, April 12th, Parks on Tap will be traveling around the city, popping up in a new location every week for 25 weeks. Patrons can enjoy freshly prepared bites, local beers on tap, refreshing rose and non-alcoholic beverages in a secure outdoor environment with comfortable chairs and clean restrooms.
Despite the location, Parks on Tap always offers the perfect backdrop to your day and evenings out enjoying the beautiful, warmer weather.
The season starts in East Fairmount Park on Wednesday, April 12th at the stunning Azalea Gardens. FCM Hospitality will be doing a special direct donation to the specific parks they are visiting! On the first two hours of the first day of Parks on Tap’s stay at a number of locations, sip back and relax knowing that 25% of your sales will be donated directly to the beautiful atmosphere you are enjoying!
In addition to providing a variety of local craft beers, patrons can also expect wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages such as water and lemonade. A food menu will be available for purchase at all locations highlighting a convenient grab-and-go menu of locally sourced wraps and snacks.
Parks on Tap is family (and fido) friendly. Parks on Tap is self-contained within roped boundaries, providing its own power, bathrooms, food and drink trucks, seating, shade and lights – all without use or dependency of existing park facilities. This means more money can be raised and make a direct impact on park improvements and future programming.
Season hours for Parks on Tap are currently scheduled to be Wednesday to Friday, from 4:00pm to 10:00pm, and Saturday and Sunday from Noon to 10:00pm, weather permitting. Guests must register in advance for their free 2023 seasonal membership prior to entry. Food and drink are pay-as-you-go. Seating is first come, first served. For more information on the Parks on Tap and directions, please visit www.parksontap.com.
All credit cards and cash are accepted for food and drink. Credit cards are preferred.
Parks on Tap kicked off in 2016 to engage the Philadelphia community and give back to the neighborhood parks. A portion of all proceeds every year are donated to help restore and maintain Philly’s parks. Thanks to Parks on Tap’s past donations, improvements have included trail work and maintenance, tree plantings, new signage, free music, movie programs, and more.
