Main Line Animal Rescue’s Tails & Trails 5K Run/2K Walk Returns for 10th Annual Event on Saturday, June 5, 2021
The event, which went virtual in 2020, invites friends, family, kid-friendly dogs & dog-friendly kids back to the organization’s beautiful Phoenixville property to raise life-saving funds
Main Line Animal Rescue, an affiliate of the Pennsylvania SPCA, will host the 10th Annual Tails & Trails 5K Run/2K Walk, sponsored by Audi West Chester, on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 9AM, 1149 Pike Springs Road, Phoenixville, PA 19460.
The event, which has become a staple for animal lovers across the Delaware Valley, invites athletes of all abilities to come together to support MLAR’s mission to save abused, unwanted and abandoned animals and ultimately find them new, safe and loving homes. With the current safety protocols in place, and the limited amount of registrations available, participants are encouraged to register in advance. Walk up registration may be available.
The 3.1 mile cross-country style course traverses rolling hills, offering sprawling views of MLAR’s stunning 60-acre farm, surrounding countryside and beautiful spring foliage.
Individuals who want to participate in an added challenge and further support MLAR’s efforts are encouraged to set up their own fundraising page through the registration site. Top fundraisers will be recognized at the end of the race alongside those who completed the course the fastest.
The day will be made even more special with the addition of a socially distanced beer garden featuring Root Down Brewing Company, food from The Clean Plate Club food truck, raffles, adoptable animals and much more.
For those not yet comfortable participating in an in-person event, virtual registration is also available. Those runners and walkers can participate in the comfort of their own home, in their neighborhood, or on a course of their choosing while still saving animal lives.
