Whether you’re a runner, or just a spectator in the Blue Cross Broad Street Run (BCBSR), please take note of the new Philadelphia city-wide initiative “From Philly to Boston with Love” that was announced this week to honor and garner donations for the victims, their families, and the city of Boston.
The runners and thousands of spectators will be given “From Philly to Boston with Love” stickers to wear over their hearts during the race to express their support for the people of Boston. Additionally, area residents are encouraged to make a donation to The One Fund Boston.
Philadelphians are encouraged to share the “From Philly to Boston with Love” heart-shaped logo and use the hashtag #philly2boston on social media channels to show support for the victims. Many runners also plan to buy and wear red socks, the proceeds of which will go to The One Fund Boston.
