The Ukrainian Folk Festival and Outdoor Concert 2023 will be held on Sunday, August 27, 2023, from 12:00noon to 8:00pm at the Ukrainian American Sport Center.
The festival will feature a variety of Ukrainian folk music, dance, and art, as well as a variety of food and drinks. There will also be a children’s area with games and activities.
The outdoor concert will feature performances by Ukrainian folk music ensembles, including bands playing traditional instruments such as the bandura (a stringed instrument), the tsymbaly (a hammered dulcimer), and the sopilka (a flute-like instrument). Folk dance troupes dressed in colorful traditional costumes take the stage, performing traditional Ukrainian dances like the Hopak and the Kolomyjka.

You can expect to find artisans and craftsmen displaying their traditional skills and selling handmade crafts, embroidery, pottery, and other Ukrainian folk art. Food offer a variety of traditional Ukrainian dishes and delicacies, such as borscht, varenyky (dumplings), holubtsi (cabbage rolls), and various pastries.
Live Orchestra-Band Music by the VOX ETHNOKA BAND follows the stage concert with Ukrainian, traditional, rock, ballroom and modern music.
