Philly Sports “Likely” to have Fans in the Stands
Good news for sports fans! It might not be a full house but it looks like fans may be able to attend games this year.
Philadelphia Health Commissioner Dr. Thomas Farley said in a press conference that the Sixers, Flyers, and Phillies have sent requests to have fans at games.
The Philadelphia Inquirer reported that the city is likely to ease back on event limits effective March 1.
“I can say that it’s likely that there would be some fans in the stands at the Phillies’ home opener but how many is going to depend not just on us, but what the state decides,” Farley said.
The changes, expected to be announced later this week and the restrictions enacted by Mayor Kenney are set to expire on March 1.
