New Video Released in Honor of Gregg Allman’s Birthday
Gregg Allman would’ve turned 70 today (December 8), and his camp decided to share a new video in honor of the late southern rock icon.
Below is the music video for Allman’s cover of the Jackson Browne track “Song for Adam” that is featured on the posthumously released album Southern Blood.
The video’s director Erica Silverman told Rolling Stone of the clip, “I grew up listening to the Allman Brothers, and couldn’t believe the opportunity. Gregg and his music represent so much to so many different people. I hope the video carries an ounce of his spirit.”
Southern Blood is nominated for Best Americana Album at the upcoming 60th Annual GRAMMY Awards. “My Only True Friend,” the lone original track off of the album, is also nominated for Best American Roots Song.
