Jonathan Cain Says “No Way” To Journey Break Up Buzz
Journey’s Jonathan Cain is reassuring fans — kind of — about Journey’s status in the wake of recent social media postings by guitarist Neal Schon attacking other band members.
Schon has been on a cyber-warpath against Cain since June; The most recent dust-up came after Cain, frontman Arnel Pineda and bassist Ross Valory visited the White House and posed for photos with President Donald Trump, which led to an angry Facebook post from the guitarist that “Journey should never be used and exploited by anyone, especially band members for politics or any one religion…This was with intent to exploit the brand and use the name…(White House) Tours are done all the time but it could have been privately.”
TMZ caught Cain and his wife, Paula White-Cain, who chairs an evangelical advisory board for Trump, at the airport; Cain said he hadn’t spoken with Schon since the White House visit and said “I don’t know what his feelings are” when asked about the relationship between the two Journey men.
But Cain did say there’s “no way” Journey would break up over the White House trip, without expanding on his answer.

Schon has tweeted, “How would you feel if u found that the rest of the band wanted to tour without me? They will not tour with Journey name. Trust me. I’ve spent way too long building to give up the brand…F-inch insane. It is a serious try at hijacking JRNY.”
Schon tweeted that his social media campaign is designed to reveal “abusive, malicious behavior” he’s endured during the year.
Journey is currently off the road but is rumored to be planning a 2018 tour with Def Leppard.
