Philly Spring Cleanup Registration is Now Open
Register for the Philly Spring Cleanup!
Spring is almost here! Flowers are blooming, the weather feels wonderful, and it’s the perfect time for a little spring cleaning. Philadelphia does a one day city cleanup every year, and this year’s Cleanup event is coming up Saturday, April 6th.
According to the City of Philadelphia, the Philly Spring Cleanup is “the city’s largest city-wide, single-day clean-up event. Since its 2008 launch, a total of 200,000 volunteers have removed more than 11.4 million pounds of trash and 950,000 pounds of tires from city streets at nearly 6,750 project sites.”
It’s a group effort and it makes a huge difference. You can volunteers as an individual or organize a group. You can also submit projects, including park and neighborhood cleanups. See a need? Help to organize the solution.

This year’s Cleanup will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024. Mark your calendar and get ready to pitch in! You can pick an area near where you live, where you work, where you see the most need, or where you’d simply enjoy spending the morning of April 6th. As someone with a toddler, who frequents playgrounds, we’re going to focus on our nearby parks. The location can be anywhere in Philly.
If weather forces the Cleanup to be postponed, the rain date is April 13, 2024.
Not able to be there in person?
You can also make a monetary donation to help with the effort. The money will be used to buy tools and cleanup materials for the day, like paint, gloves, brooms and garbage bags. Every little bit counts and will go a long way.
