Two men were recently charged with making terrorist threats for trying to make others around them sick, or at least for frightening them into thinking that they may have been spreading the illness.
George Falcone was arrested after he purposely coughed on a grocery store employee. Per NBC News, "Falcone was standing close to an employee near the store's prepared food section when the worker asked him to move back. Instead, Falcone stepped closer to her, leaned in and coughed." They also add, "He laughed, telling the woman he was infected with coronavirus and also telling two other employees they are 'lucky' to have jobs."
A similar incident happened in Missouri when a 26-year-old boy filmed himself licking various items at Walmart. "Who's afraid of the coronavirus?" Cody Pfizer said in the video that has been shared all over social media. According to Riverfront Times, he has been charged with a low-level felony. Watch the video of Pfizer below.
