REPORT: AC/DC to Tour Again with Brian Johnson
The AC/DC saga continues, and the latest update indicates that Brian Johnson, who exited the band due to issues with hearing loss, is not only back in the band but will tour with them as well.
This latest report comes via Eddie Trunk who said, “I have sources that have told me that they are absolutely going to tour with Brian back again. That’s all unconfirmed from their camp, but I had it from some reliable sources. I think it’s pretty much a done deal that AC/DC at the very least are going to release some sort of record and it’ll be some sort of record and it’ll be some sort of tribute to Malcolm [Young] just like Back in Black was a tribute to Bon [Scott]. So I have no doubt about that and I’m pretty confident they’re probably going to do shows as well but I think at this point it’s pretty much just when they announce it.”

This report follows last week’s piece of news from longtime engineer Mike Fraser who said on Mastering Music Mastering Life, “Well, yeah, I can say that we’ve been in the studio doing something. What’s come of that I can’t discuss yet.” As for whether or not Johnson is singing on this album, Fraser simply said, “I think so.”
News of Johnson’s involvement on the album dates back to late January when a Facebook post from grindcore band Terrorizer went viral. The band’s post read, “We ran into Brian Johnson from AC/DC at the airport today after the flight home and we asked him about the rumors of him being on the new AC/DC album and he said, ‘Yes’ and that he is ‘Sick of denying it.’”
