John Fogerty is starting yet another fresh era in his career with a new recording deal.

The Creedence Clearwater Revival co-founder has signed with BMG with plans for a new album, which will be out next year, as well as reissues of his previous solo releases. The first-- a 20th anniversary release of his Grammy Award-winning 1997 album Blue Moon Swamp featuring a new cover -- comes out November 17 with other titles to follow, as well as a new greatest hits set drawn from his solo albums.

In a statement, Fogerty says that, "I'm excited to partner with BMG for the next chapter of my music career. Their enthusiasm and confidence, affording me the creative freedom to make music I want to make, has been absolutely refreshing. We have so many new and intriguing ideas that I look forward to sharing with everyone soon."

Fogerty's 2018 album will be his first since the guest-laden 2013 set Wrote A Song For Everyone. Fogerty tells us that the writing process is something that never stops for him:

"It's the thinking about it. It's the making sure I have my notebook ready so I can write down words and song titles and things...I don't like to say, 'Yeah, I'm gonna do this, I'm gonna do that.' I've always found kind of a fault with that...I've noticed that just quite recently here I've begun to kind of gather my tools to get things done in a musical way...'Oh, this looks like you're getting ready to write more music. OK, cool.'"

Fogerty returns to the stage on Wednesday (September 20) for another residency at Wynn's Encore Theater in Las Vegas through October 7.
