A July 25 release date has been set for the home video version of Now More Than Ever: The History Of Chicago, an acclaimed documentary about the band that premiered earlier this year on CNN in commemoration of the group's 50th anniversary.

Now More Than Ever won the Best of the Fest audience choice award at the Sedona International Film Festival during 2016, and the home video will come with bonus content including footage from Chicago's 2016 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction rehearsals and scenes director Peter Pardini deleted from the original cut.

Trumpeter Lee Loughnane tells us that it's been something of a wake-up call for Chicago to realize it's spent 50 years as a band:

"It feels like, as Robert (Lamm) said in the documentary, one long, continuous tour. We've been on the road every year for 50 years. It's like a huge part of our lives...I think what we did realize is that...we consistently looked forward as to what, where we’re going next and not as much as where we have been...We have always tried to concentrate on what's happening in front of us. You do that long enough and look back, and it's a pretty strong string of events."

Chicago is touring this summer with the Doobie Brothers and has dates booked into November.

(Sir Paul McCartney inducting Foo Fighters? C'mon now!) She's also well-versed in etiquette and extraordinarily nice. #TransRightsAreHumanRights
