Jamie Lee Curtis took notice of the former Baywatch star's beauty statement while attending Fashion Week in France. Curtis, 64, shouted out Anderson, 56, on Instagram recently, sharing her photo from the fashion show sans makeup. The "scream queen" proclaimed in her caption: "THE NATURAL BEAUTY REVOLUTION HAS OFFICIALLY BEGUN! @pamelaanderson in the middle of fashion week with so many pressures and postures, and and and, this woman showed up and claimed her seat at the table with nothing on her face. I am so impressed and floored by this act of courage and rebellion." Taking to Instagram about her experience with "fresh eyes" in Paris, Anderson said: "There is beauty in self acceptance, imperfection and love."

Anderson isn't the only public figure who is rebelling against beauty standards. In August 2020, Kelly Ripa poked fun at her gray roots during quarantine. In March 2021, Katie Couric went makeup-free for a People magazine spread, saying the experience made her feel "liberated and vulnerable." Justine Bateman opened up in April to 60 Minutes Australia that she thinks she looks "rad" aging naturally, despite online commentary over her looks. She told the publication that she likes feeling like a different person than when she was 20. "I like looking in the mirror and seeing that evidence." She added, "I think my face represents who I am. I like it." Former supermodel Paulina Porizkova, who was featured in the segment, said, "Aging is cool." Porizkova often talks about aging and how she embraces it on her Instagram. Salma Hayek showed off her gray hair and wrinkles in a makeup-free selfie in 2023. Jennifer Lopez also shared her makeup-free face after turning 54 with a video of her skincare routine.
Susan Yara, founder of Naturium Skincare and the YouTube channel Mixed Makeup, told USA Today that "men seem to thrive more when they age. It should be the same for women. We’re more confident and self-assured, and we bring wisdom that you can only get with age." Cassandra Bankson, a medical esthetician, added, "being able to age is a privilege," and "we should embrace how our skin takes care of us and the stories it tells."
How To Embrace Your Natural Beauty
- Follow people who post unfiltered and raw photos: Celebrities and influencers use filters and edit their photos to touch up their skin, blemishes, wrinkles, fat -- you name it -- to portray the image of perfection. It isn't real.
- Have a solid skincare routine: Start with a good skincare routine, washing your face morning and night and following with moisturizers that suit your skin type. Let your skin's natural radiance shine through when it is properly taken care of. You don't need tons of products or expensive products to have good skin.
- Be kind to yourself: As we age, we should be proud of our bodies for the experiences it has gone through. Let that be a reminder to see yourself with grace, wisdom, strength, and empowerment.
Pamela Anderson’s Sexy Style Transformation Throughout the Years
Pamela Denise Anderson was born on July 1, 1967, in British Columbia. Pamela was first "discovered" at a British Columbia Lions football game when her image was shown on the stadium screen. The fans cheered her and she was brought down to the football field, and because of her fame in Vancouver, she signed a commercial contract with Labatt's beer to be the "Blue Zone Girl." After she booked more ads, Playboy soon approached her and by October 1989, she was on the cover of Playboy magazine.
With success from Playboy, Anderson moved to Los Angeles, California in 1990. A year later, she made her television debut on Home Improvement, where she starred as Lisa, the Tool Time Girl. Anderson appeared for 23 episodes from 1991-1997. Anderson then left to focus on Baywatch, playing the role of C.J. Parker.
In 1994, Pamela met Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee on New Year's Eve 1994 in New York City. In February 1995, they got married in Cancun, Mexico. The couple welcomed two sons over the next few years, Brandon Thomas Lee (born June 6, 1996) and Dylan Jagger Lee (December 29, 1997). During this time, the couple had their pornographic video stolen from their home. Both of them sued the website that stole the video, but their case was not settled and the video is still on the internet. Two months later, Pamela filed for divorce when her husband assaulted her and he was sentenced to six months in jail.
