South Street Cinema
The legendary South Street Head House District in Philadelphia has character and lots to offer anyone, residents and visitors alike. Jim’s Steaks, the TLA, Lorenzo’s Pizza, rolled ice cream (and lots of other treats), Brauhaus Schmitz (a great spot to watch the World Cup), Retrospect Vintage, Philly AIDS Thrift (just around the corner), shopping, festivals and now… its own movie theater: South Street Cinema.
Find it at 327 South Street, across from the TLA. Stop in and see what’s playing any day of the week or check here for event listings. Kristen recently had the chance to chat with Bill Arrowood, who runs the theater. Listen above, or check below for the basics about South Street’s cool new spot:
1.) It’s cheap. Pay what you like. (suggested $5 donation)
